Russell J Platzer

Russell J. Platzer, 67, of Port Huron, died Friday, September 3, 2021 in the Blue Water Hospice Home surrounded by his devoted family.

He was born April 29, 1954 in Port Huron to the late Wilford and Violet Platzer.

He is survived by two loving brothers, Stephen (Katherine “Kathy”) Platzer and Gary (Susan) Platzer; a loving sister-in-law, Vartush Platzer, Port Huron ; three nieces, Joann (Bradley) Behn, Port Huron, who took care of him for the last year of his life, Laurie Platzer, Marysville and Alicia Platzer, Arkansas; great nieces, Tasha Behn, Port Huron, Cassie Behn (Taylor Weber), Port Huron and Sabrina Behn (Nate Bricker), Fort Gratiot; great nephew, Tyler Behn, Port Huron; and great great nephews, Blake Platzer, Arkansas and Jacob Behn, Port Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford and Violet Platzer, Port Huron; a brother, Robert Platzer; grandparents, Frances and John Platzer and Betty (Tom) Scofield and Russell Spooner.

Graveside services will be held at Lakeside Cemetery at a later date.
