Leroy M Sheline
Leroy Marshall Sheline, 82, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, September 3, 2021.
He was born August 7, 1939 in South Bend, IN to Marshall and Grace Sheline. He married Mysie “Lee” Sheline on June 17, 1961 in Mason.
Leroy served in the United States Army in Kaiserslautern, Germany. He received his bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and advanced degrees from Ferris State and Wayne State Universities. He was an automotive and psychology instructor at St. Clair County Community College for many years. He was a former member of First Congregational Church and currently was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Huron. He enjoyed researching the history of carousels and traveled the country to visit them. He was a member of the Friends of Crossroads Village Carousel.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lee; two children, Lisa Sheline (Arthur Siewert II) and Erik Sheline; sister-in-law, Patricia Perkins; nephews, Troy (Kara) Perkins and Gari Perkins; and many cousins.
A private memorial service will be held. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Inurnment will be in the First Congregational Columbarium at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
