Thomas Leslie Fitz, 62, of Marysville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at McLaren Hospital Port Huron.

He was born May 8, 1959 in Port Huron.

Thomas graduated from Marysville High School in 1978. He became a contractor and went on to own Tom Fitz Cement and Masonry Contracting for over 40 years. He also owned and operated Range Road Equipment Rental. Thomas loved his work and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He loved going to NASCAR races and his buddy Louie’s races. He enjoyed fishing with his buddy Randy. Thomas was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his fiancée of 14 years, Maryann Dudd of Port Huron; his mother, Connie J. Wellman; a brother, Charles (Maria) Fitz; a sister, Dondra (Ed) Watkins; two nephews, Christopher Watkins and Charles Fitz II; a niece, Allison (Chris) Massey; and two great nephews, Trace and Clayton Massey, all of Vero Beach, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald C. Fitz, and stepfather, Alan Wellman.

Thomas is also survived by Maryann’s family, including his stepsons, Jeramy (Christine) Dudd and Craig (Amanda) Stover; grandchildren, Melia, Wylen, Jaxson and Bella Dudd, Kendra and Carter Spoutz and Baylee and Dexton Stover; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Bill) Nutt, Julie (Don) Greene and brother-in-law, Gerald (Agnieszka) Greene; nieces, Nicole (Bryan) Puckett, Jaimie (Dan) Weaver and Haley and Tiffany Washburn; great nieces, Alyssah Smith, Kiersten Krauss and Lillian Droelle; and great nephew, Kameron Krauss. Thomas was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Judy A. Greene.

A memorial luncheon will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., beginning with a time of sharing at 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Range Road Equipment Rental, 1350 Range Road, Port Huron.
