Kevin Lee Friedland, 64, of Pleasant Lake, formerly of Port Huron, died Friday, September 17, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home after a brief illness.

He was born June 28, 1957 in Port Huron to the late Margaret (McFarlane) and George Friedland. He married Sally Furman on August 5, 1978 in Port Huron.

Kevin graduated from Port Huron High School and attended St. Clair County Community College. His love of math and technology transferred into a career in computer programming. Most recently, Kevin worked as a Numerical Control Programmer with Troy Design and Manufacturing.

He enjoyed traveling and visiting presidential museums with his wife. Kevin was very handy and always helped his family with home improvements. He was a lifelong reader, liked to be challenged with puzzles and crosswords, and kept up with the daily activities of his grandcats.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sally; children, Lisa Friedland (Richard Croley), Kelly Friedland, and Adam Friedland; siblings, Randy (Diana) Friedland, Sally (Robert) Lapish, David (Susan) Friedland, Brian Friedland, and Paul (Caren) Friedland; in-laws, Wayne and Eileen Furman; brother-in-law, Wayne (Cinthia) Furman and sister-in-law, Janet Tuttle; many cousins, aunts, uncles and much adored nieces and nephews.

Per Kevin’s request, there will not be a service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron.
