Hartley A "Al" Minot

April 29th, 1923 to September 29th, 2021

Hartley Alwyn “Al” Minot, age 98 of Parrish, Florida and Marysville, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

He was born April 29, 1923 in East Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Chester and Evelyn Minot.

Al retired from AT&T in 1988. He served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. In retirement, Al enjoyed golfing, boating, reading and spending time with family and friends. He will truly be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving family, his children, Marty (Denise) Minot and Nancy (Thomas) McCarthy; stepchildren, James Dial and Deborah Cole; grandchildren, Ryan (Daneil) Minot, Michelle (Shane) Grim, Michael Rajna, Kathleen and John McCarthy; step-grandchildren, Jeremy (Jen) Dial, Jonathan (Jennifer) Dial; great-grandchildren, Colton, Micah, Leela Minot, Connor and Grayson Grim; step-great-grandchildren, Ayden, Parker, Hunter Dial; sister, Cheri Mulbar; brother-in-law, Richard Sherrill; sisters-in-law, Carol Sherrill and Ann Sherrill; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Minot, and former wife, Betty, the mother of his children, Marty and Nancy; his sister, Guinevere Svoboda; and his brother, Roderick Minot.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
