Patrick David Parcell, beloved husband, father, papa, great grandfather and friend to so many, passed away to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

He was born December 26, 1952 in St. Clair to the late Samuel and Verna Parcell and grew up in Flint, Michigan. He married Sally Ann Bleicher on July 10, 1971. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.

Patrick was in the Boilermakers Local #169 for 35 years and served as President for three years. He was a Past Master Mason and a member of several local lodges. From political campaigns to parades and donations, Patrick loved to help others.

Patrick had many good friends from all walks of life. Never did he shy away from meeting new people, talking with them and helping them in some way. Patrick was friendly, kind, and loving to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was never judgmental. Papa Pat, as he was affectionately known, was one of a kind with his intellect and sense of humor. He was also an incredible handyman and his family always joked, if Papa Pat couldn’t fix it, then nobody could. Pat loved sailing, painting, singing classic country songs and playing his guitar. Pat and Sally traveled around the country to see many historic places.

He is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters, Mindy (George) Costello and Melissa (Blair) Rood; granddaughters, Erin (Mike) Adwell, Amanda and Emily Costello, and Cora and Hadley Rood; great grandson, Marshall Adwell; siblings, Virginia Christie and Barbara (Melvin) Raasio; mother-in-law, Beverly Bleicher; sister-in-law, Roxanne (Robert) Maguffee; brothers-in-law, Frank (Patty) Bleicher and David (Darlene) Bleicher; and nephews, Arthur, Eric, Dale and Jeremey Raasio, Matthew Bleicher and Alexander Maguffee and their families. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles Bleicher; and two nephews, Bruce and Steven Hobbs.
