James C Kornik
James Charles Kornik, 71, of North Charleston, South Carolina, formerly of Port Huron, found peace and tranquility on Thursday, October 28, 2021 after a short illness.
He was born November 7, 1949 in Detroit to the late Charles and Janet Kornik. He married Dena Cline on October 18, 2000 in Port Huron.
James served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Port Huron Police Department. After his retirement, he worked for Gilbert’s Harley Davidson in Port Huron. James was a member of the Masonic Temple, the F.O.P, AFPA and the Blue Knights. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and taking part in Civil War reenactments with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Dena; three sons, Michael Kornik, Nathan (Alicia) Cline and Trever (Paiam) Cline-Etminan; two daughters, Beth (Chad) Delor and Lindsay Kornik; grandchildren, Jacob Cole and Wyatt Cline, with one on the way; and special friends, Carol Leffler and Karen Minor.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
