Ted R Cook

Ted Ronald Cook, 85, of Port Huron Township, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021 surrounded by his family at McLaren Port Huron after a long illness.

He was born December 17, 1935 in Bridgehampton Township, Sanilac County, to the late Clifford and Pearl Cook. He married Judy Kay LaVere on October 31, 1964 in Port Huron Township.

Mr. Cook was employed in maintenance with C & O Railroad for 18 years and then with the Port Huron Area School District for 24 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing pool and archery in his younger years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy; two daughters, Penny (Anthony) Thomason and Julianne Cook-Worden; a son, Steven S. Cook; two grandchildren, Justin (Malerie) Thomason and Jenna Rose Worden; two great grandchildren, Callie Breeze Thomason and Laney Kyle Thomason; a brother, Harold (Joan) Cook; two sisters, Eletha Thibideau and Shirley (Orland) Borgerson; sister-in-law, Carol Cook; brother-in-law, Don Chidester; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Georgene “Pudge” Chidester; a brother, Alan Cook; and a brother-in-law, Don Thibideau.

Private family services have been held.
