Gary Lee Fraser, 75, of Port Huron Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

He was born May 10, 1946 in Port Huron to the late Lewis and Rosetta Fraser. He married Frances Gostinger on February 14, 1969 in Port Huron.

Mr. Fraser graduated from Marysville High School and served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Cavalry and then in the Army National Guard for ten years. He was employed with Ford Motor Company for 30 years, retiring January 1, 2005. He was a former volunteer firefighter for Port Huron Township and the DNR. He was a member for many years of the Michigan Wheelman Antique Bike Club and the Huron Chippers Woodcarving Club. Gary loved animals and was a talented mechanic, helping fix many cars for friends and family. He enjoyed hunting and golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Fran; two children, Douglas (Vickie) Fraser and Dana Fraser; two grandchildren, Kimberly (Ryan) Hamme and Stacie Miller (Jeremy Cross); two great grandchildren, Gracelyn and Madison; a sister, Gwendolyn Holmes; a brother, Richard (Jean) Fraser; a sister-in-law, Carol Fraser; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Fraser; a brother-in-law, Roy Holmes; and a nephew, Alan Holmes.

Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.

Mr. Fraser will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 in Holy Trinity Parish St. Stephen Catholic Church. The Reverend Joseph Gagnon will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Stephen and Brian Gostinger, David Lohr, Thomas and Jeff Holmes and Thomas Holburt. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
