Frederick R Green

Frederick Roy Green, 79, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, November 19, 2021.

He was born August 19, 1942 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to the late William and Marjorie Green. He married Elma J. Morgan on June 16, 1962 in Port Huron.

Frederick graduated from the University of Michigan in 1964 and Michigan State University in 1967. He was a teacher with the Port Huron School District for 35 years prior to his retirement and was a U.S. Customs Officer for 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, billiards, family dinners and was a big U of M football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elma; daughter, Beth (Erik) Barden; two sons, Scott (Jennifer) Green and Chris (Peggy) Spencer; nine grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Judith) Green and John (Wanda) Green; nephew, Eric Green; niece, Annette Green; and his beloved family dog, Fender. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jillian Clare Barden; a brother, Ron Green; and sister, Norma Lambson.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
