Walter F Bugajski

February 23rd, 1938 to November 30th, 2021

Walter Felix “Wally” Bugajski, 83, of Wales Township, died Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. After fighting a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, he is now in a place of peace and vividly remembering all of the wonderful memories of the people who loved him.

Wally was a long-time member of Columbus Baptist Church and a retiree of the Chrysler Corporation. He operated Wally’s Bulldozing, Grading, and Backfilling until going to work for Chrysler but never lost his love of tractors, backhoes, bulldozers, and anything John Deere.

Wally was often a man of few words, a humble man, who always showed love through his actions. At a young age, he earned his barber license and reveled in the company of his family and friends sitting in his barber chair. He enjoyed getting away Up-North to the family cabin in East Tawas for a long weekend. He was a master gardener, canning gallons of Sun-Dills to enjoy over the winter. However, the one thing he loved above all else was his family. Whether it was teaching his grandkids how to fish on the pond, attending every sporting and concert event, helping out his kids with their house projects, or just giving that wise advice that only a father and grandfather can give. He was always there.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Connie; four children, Keith (Cindy) Bugajski, Timothy Bugajski, Denise Paeth (Rick Mcinnis), and David (Linda) Bugajski; eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Joshua), Kevin (Nikki Basnight), Matthew (Hannah) Bugajski, Timothy Jr. (Maymie), Anthony, and Scott Bugajski, Joseph Paeth (Megan McCullough), Jacob Paeth (Darian Ambrose), and Justin (Christy Wilson), Josh (Becca), and Lukas Bugajski (Miranda Moody); three step-grandchildren Michael Osborne, and Elayna and Jaclyn Paling; many great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy (Robert) Schleyer, Esther (Bruce) Long, and Sharon (Mark) McMullin; a brother, Samuel (Kathie) Bugajski; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Private family services have been held. A memorial visitation will be announced at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Baptist Church, Spero Pregnancy Center or Residential Hospice. To send condolences, visit pollockrandall.com
