Obituary

Barbara J. Randall, 90, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in her home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 5, 1931 to the late Carl A. & Florence (Scheonrock) May in Port Huron. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1949 and married David H. Randall on February 19, 1955 in Port Huron. He died April 19, 2010.

Mr. & Mrs. Randall were the retired owners of the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home in Port Huron and built the Marysville Funeral Home in 1992. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, many circles and Bible studies, Gamma Nu, Port Huron Study Club #1, Quota International, Port Huron Musicale and Blue Water Garden Club. She was a past president of Church Women United.

She is survived by four daughters, Mr. & Mrs. John W. (Ann) Kendrick and Carol Hanba, all of Marysville, Mr. & Mrs. Noel (Pat) Leach of Port Huron and Mr. & Mrs. Jeff (Mary) Hart of North Street; her brother, Donald C. (Eleanor) May of Port Huron; a sister-in-law, Judy Randall of Bay City; her grandchildren, Laura (Nicholas) Godwin of Port Huron, Heather Grace Kendrick of Aspen, Colorado, Dr. Daniel (Dr. Hilary) Hanba of Kalispell, Montana, Dr. Curtis Hanba of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jeffrey Hart of Charleston, South Carolina, Hannah Hart of Shelby Township, David Hart of North Street, Robert (Jenny) Leach, Rick (Nicole) Leach, Katie (Travis) McMullin, all of Avoca and Amy Leach, of Port Huron; four great grandchildren, Luke, Joshua and Clair Godwin and Lennon Hanba; several step great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dr. Daniel Hanba; a granddaughter, Jessica Hart; her beloved sister, Marjorie Smith; and Dave’s siblings, Dr. John W. Randall and Iris MacDonald.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home (1200 Michigan Avenue). Social distancing, brief visiting times and all common-sense safety measures are strongly encouraged in light of the current surge situation.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church (3240 Pine Grove, Port Huron). Seating will be every other row. The Rev. James Mascow of Knox Presbyterian Church will officiate. The service will be livestreamed on the funeral home website.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hart, David Hart, Nick Godwin, Colby Stanton, Rick and Robert Leach.
