Victor J. Ruehle, 78, of Port Huron, died Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Port Huron, MI.

Vic Ruehle began his formal education in a one-room school house near Prescott, MI. He completed his elementary and secondary education in the Flint Public School system. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching at the University of Michigan-Flint, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Physics and Biology. He completed his Master’s Degree in Mathematics at Eastern Michigan University. He loved teaching at St. Clair High School and truly enjoyed being involved in many community organizations and programs. In retirement, he continued his teaching through community outreach.

Vic married his wife, Pamela Zillich in 1969 and celebrated 52 years of marriage in July. He is survived by his wife; sister, Elaine (Kent) Paul; brother, Aaron (Jane) Ruehle; three daughters, Kirsten (David) MacArthur of North Carolina, Elise (Toby) Hewitt of Tennessee and Laurel (Brian) Mills of Illinois; five former foreign exchange student daughters, Sachika Takeda, Marja Laurila, Ilse Boelens, Patricia Bom, and Barbara Schuette; and his beloved grandchildren, Nathan MacArthur, Brandon MacArthur, Kelsey Hewitt, and Liam Hewitt.
