Frank L. DiVozzo, 65, of Smiths Creek, died Sunday, December 5, 2021.
He was born March 18, 1956 in Detroit to the late Frank P. and Jeanne E. DiVozzo. He married Sandra Dee Hawkins on September 25, 2010 in Christ the King Lutheran Church in Chesterfield.
Frank graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1975 and attended Western Michigan University on a hockey scholarship. He worked for Ontario Die for many years, and most recently, Knaggs Trucking. Frank was very athletic and loved hockey, golf, softball and hunting. The thing he loved the most was his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy; five children, Marcinia (Dan) Harris, Shylah Mae DiVozzo, Shawn Jasette DiVozzo, Kelly (Dave) Klozik and Kristina Hayes; six grandchildren, George, Billy, Anthony, Ava, Logan and Lily; a sister, Corrine (Paul) Martin; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin who was more like a brother, Steve Lush; and Sandy’s family, who became Frank’s second family.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, Marysville, with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon. Pastor Chuck Sandison of Christ the King Lutheran Church will officiate. A livestream of the service will be available on Frank’s obituary page of the funeral home website.
