David C Wilton

June 27th, 1937 to December 10th, 2021

David C. Wilton, 84, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 in McLaren Port Huron Hospital after a long illness.

He was born on June 27, 1937 in Port Huron, the son of Lewis and Phoebe Maley. He was adopted by Thelma (Maynard) Wilton and Wes Wilton. He married Diane Selmon in March of 1964 and they were married for 24 years. He married Thelma Dailey in September of 1990. She preceded him in death in November of 2010.

David lived in Marysville and graduated from Marysville High School in June of 1955. Shortly thereafter he enlisted in the United Stated Air Force. In addition to serving in the military, David was a graduate of St Clair County Community College. He was employed with the Marysville Fire Department and BTM Corporation before retiring in 1992.

He is survived by his sister, Dawn Yacques; special friend, Isabel Visser; sons, Wesley (Susan) Wilton of Bossier, LA, David (Heidi) Wilton of Marysville, Tom (Vicky) Dailey of Port Huron;daughter, Brenda Woolman of Summerfield, FL; grandchildren, Lauren (Raymond James) Umphenour, Krystyn (Kacy) Gunn, McKenzie Wilton, Diana Wilton, Delaney Wilton and Danielle Wilton; and several great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 in the Riverlawn Cemetery Chapel. The Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Airforce and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
