Donald E Muir

Donald Eugene Muir, 86, of Fort Gratiot, died Thursday, December 16, 2021.

He was born January 26, 1935 in Fort Gratiot to the late James and Margaret Muir. He married Connie Matthews on August 25, 1956 in Port Huron.

Donald was employed with the Times Herald for many years as a manager in the plate department. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Connie; five children, Mark (Sue) Muir, Scott (Diane) Muir, Donald (Kathy) Muir, Cammie (Dale) Hiemstra and Jeffery (Shannon) Muir; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Laurena Schwem and Margaret Ann Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Jim Muir.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in Lakeside Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate.
