James Henry Burge Sr., 81. of Port Huron, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021.
He was born January 13, 1940 in Wadhams to the late George and Lula Burge. He married Josephine “Jo” LaTurno on October 8, 1961 in St. Clair. She preceded him in death on August 16, 2010 after 48 years of marriage.
James was employed with Reichley’s Auto Parts for 40 years before his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed camping, fishing, rabbit hunting and completing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by four children, James (Sue) Burge Jr., William (Colleen) Burge, Patricia Burge and Rayann (Shawn) Hodgins; eleven grandchildren, Michael Hodgins II, Donald Hodgins, Alicia Burge, James Burge III, David Burge, Mary Auguson, Donnie Aiello, Angelita Woolman, Mikayla Convey, Nicole Convey and Daniel Convey; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Burge; sisters, Alice Mae Himmel and Donna (Richard) Kristick; and brother-in-law, Bill Collins.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate.
Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery, Clyde Township. Pallbearers will be James’ grandsons.
