Richard LaVere
Richard W. LaVere, 77, of Kimball Township, died Thursday, December 30, 2021.
He was born September 3, 1944 in Fort Gratiot to the late Neil and Helen LaVere. He married Marsha Torello on July 4, 2007 in Jeddo.
Richard was employed for 30 years at Mueller Brass and also was a certified master mechanic who was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family who needed help with auto repairs. He enjoyed farming 10 acres in Jeddo and riding, raising and training Arabian horses.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha; two sons, Danny LaVere and Richard (Marie) LaVere; stepchildren, Wendy (Kyle) LeRoy and Leslie (Kevin) Bilyeu; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Terry (Rose) LaVere, Gary LaVere and Ken LaVere; sister, Wanda Lange; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara; and a sister, Margaret Richards.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Friday, January 14, 2022 in the Marysville RLDS Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Elder Gary Wesch will officiate. The family requests masks be worn.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
