Max J Pochodylo

May 5th, 1936 to January 26th, 2022

Max John Pochodylo, 85, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.

He was born May 5, 1936 in Port Huron, the youngest of six children, to the late Andrew and Katherine Pochodylo. He married Maureen Cooper on July 4, 1954 in Port Huron. She passed away on March 3, 2010

Max graduated from Port Huron High School in 1954. He honorably served in the United States Army. Max retired in 1996 from American Tape after 35 years. He was an avid golfer, getting a hole in one in 1983 (Hole 15) at Marysville Golf Course. He enjoyed working on his meticulous yard and could fix, build or repair anything that was needed. Max was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and Marysville American Legion Post 449. Max looked forward to the Pochodylo Family Reunion that he and Maureen hosted for several years, before passing the honor to his daughter.

He is survived by two daughters, Becky (Pete) Ciccanesi of Fayetteville, Georgia and Laurie (Bob) Currier of Marysville, Michigan; sisters, Eleanor Russell and Mary Pochodylo; and several nieces and nephews that he adored.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Stella Wiegand and Helen Pochodylo; brother, Andy Pochodylo; sisters-in-law, Doris Pochodylo and Colleen (Baron) Smith; brothers-in-law, Robert Wiegand, Gerald Baron and Donald Russell; and niece MaryAnn Wiegand.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army.
