Obituary

Thelma Mae Palmer, 74, of Port Huron, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at her home.

She was born June 5, 1947 in England, Arkansas, a daughter of the late John and Essie Ellis.

Thelma worked for Electronic Data Systems and the State of Tennessee until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially with her great granddaughter, Cassidy. She was a dedicated servant of the Lord and faithful member of the Faith Christian Church. She spent a large portion of her time involved with church activities.

She leaves to mourn her passing her three grandchildren, Troy Calliotte of Carlisle Pennsylvania, Breanna Calliotte of Port Huron and Trevor Calliotte of St. Clair Shores; great granddaughters, Cassidy Rusch; siblings, John (Jean) Ellis, Charles (Lisa) Ellis, Virginia (Charles) Brady, Carolyn Ellis and David (Jackie) Ellis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Willette Calliotte; brother, Perry Ellis; and brother and sister-in-law, Theodis and Linda Ellis.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Faith Christian Community Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor George Washington of Metropolitan Community Tabernacle Church will officiate. The family requests that masks be worn for the comfort and safety of others.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Ellis, Robert Ellis, Theodis (Shevie) Ellis II, Carlos Ellis, Nick Ellis and Ryan Ellis.
