Janice M Pocklington

March 8th, 1935 to February 2nd, 2022

Janice Mary Pocklington, 86, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

She was born March 8, 1935 in Algonac, Mi to the late Harold and Dorothy Pocklington.

Janice was employed as a Registered Nurse at Henry Ford Hospital for many years before her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Port Huron. She was a devout Christian and was led to the Lord through a Billy Graham crusade in Detroit, Mi in 1956. She loved Billy Graham, Jimmy Swaggart, music and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Claire Austin, Douglas Anstadt, Hurd Pocklington and Joel Anstadt; Tracey Avers, who was like a daughter to her; grandchildren, Lily, Gracie and Carolyn Austin and Nicholas Anstadt; sister, Joann Mohr; nieces and nephews, Christine, Brian and Dave Avers and Jan Bustrak.

She was preceded by her daughter, Carol Anstadt; her twin sister, Ann Avers; and niece, Amy Avers Erwin.

A special thanks to Dr. Daher and staff, all Harbor Health Home Care staff, and In-home Care by Raina LLC, her counselor, Karen B. and Joel's boss Bonnie, for her leniency with Joel when he needed to take extra time off to care for his mother.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in First Baptist Church of Port Huron with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Dennis Holland will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Port Huron. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
