She married Dwight Moore on October 18, 1968 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2016 after 48 years of marriage. After graduating from Port Huron High School in 1966, JoAnn married the love of her life and moved to Germany, where she had her first child, James. As an active member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, JoAnn volunteered on a regular basis as a leader in the Pythian Sisters and as an involved member of the community. JoAnn was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #343, and Blue Water Area #3702 F.O.E. JoAnn was an engaged parent with all three of her children. She served as the PHHS Sports Booster president for many years, and worked the east ticket gate for football games well after her youngest child had graduated. JoAnn was a proud Big Red, and enjoyed being with other Big Red supporters. JoAnn adored her friends, and her many adventures with them. The bowling trips, the weekly lunches, and the many, many lengthy phone calls were a very important and treasured part of her life. She is survived by three children, Jim (Stephanie) Moore, Andy (Stacey) Moore and Jennifer (Mark) Pitzo; grandchildren, Megan Moore (Brian Smith), Ryan Moore, Allison and Ethan Urban, John, Daniel and Caroline Moore and Michael and Matthew Pitzo; a sister, Patricia Pozdrowski; sisters-in-law, Therese Ekelund, Jane (Don) Williams, Joan DeLand, Brooksine May, Patricia Moore, Rosalie Phillips, and Carol Moore; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
