Jane Estella Hering, 87, of Port Huron Township, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
She was born September 8, 1934 in Deckerville to the late Richard and Frances Whitford. She married William C. Hering on October 27, 1955 in Angola, IN. They settled in Port Huron where they have been lovingly married for 66 beautiful years.
Jane was a dental assistant for many years before her retirement. She was a member of the Port Huron Sarnia Restoration Branch. Jane was amazing and talented. She loved playing the organ for her church, antiques, auctions, creating stained glass, quilting and sewing, especially wedding dresses for her girls. She kept all the family traditions going, especially canning pickles as a family. Her smile and beautiful blue eyes will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bill; two daughters, Candy (Phil) Maranzano and Kelly Willoughby; seven grandchildren, Bill Maranzano, Elizabeth Maranzano, Mikie (Aprill) Payionk, Chelsea (Tristan) Cummings, Stephen Hohmann, Drew Hohmann and Nick Hohmann; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; close family friend, Mary Bawal; and her little dog, Millie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Frances Whitford; brother, Richard C. Whitford; sister, Dawn Elizabeth Mason; and their beautiful daughter, Julia Dawn Hering Payionk.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Elder Brian Daggett will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Wilkins, Lenny Wilkins, Drew Hohmann, Nick Hohmann, Mikie Payionk and Bill Maranzano.
