Obituary

Raymond Charles “Bud” Sandoval, 81, beloved husband, father and grandfather, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

He was born July 27, 1940 in Detroit to the late Larry and Eva Sandoval. He married Bonnie Crapper on July 27, 1963 and she preceded him in death on June 18, 1969. He married Audrey Mae Rich on March 21, 1970 in Sparlingville Wesleyan Church.

Bud was a 1958 graduate of Port Huron High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy shortly after on July 25, 1958. Upon returning from the service, he worked for Mueller Brass for 35 years until his retirement at age 57. Bud was proud to have returned to college at 48 years old and earned his associates degree in 1988 cum laude. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with Audrey, wintering in Florida, and playing cards. His greatest joy in life was his family and he cherished time spent with them. Bud could often be found visiting and supporting his grandchildren and great grandchildren at their activities. He will forever be in their hearts and will be missed every day.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Audrey; daughter, Cathy (John) Stuewer; son, Christopher Sandoval; grandchildren, Matthew (Serena) Leach, Paris Sandoval, Alexander and Amelia Stuewer, and Jazlyn and Ethan Aranda; great grandchildren, Madilyn, Mason, and Oliver; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 10 year old son, Corry, who died in a car accident in 1985; his first wife, Bonnie; his parents; and three siblings, Larry (Pat) Sandoval, Dan Sandoval, and Linda (Dale) Eagle.

Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Terry Kuhns will officiate. A livestream of the service will be available on Bud’s obituary page of the funeral home website.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Township. Pallbearers will be Bud’s family. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.
