Jack D Cheney

Jack Duane Cheney, 63, of Fort Gratiot, died unexpectedly, Friday, February 18, 2022.

He was born February 16, 1959 in Sarnia, Ontario, to Daisy and the late Grant Cheney. He married Linda Fogal on September 7, 1979 in Port Huron.

Jack was a 1977 graduate of Port Huron High School. He was a driver at Wonder Bread and Tastee Bread for many years and then was a lab tech at Acheson Colloid until his retirement. He played or coached minor league hockey for most of his life and enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; sons, Michael (Jana) Cheney, William Doan and Gregory (Stephanie) Doan; mother, Daisy Cheney; ten grandchildren, Brooklynn, Sydney, Madison, Angel, Nathan, Austin, Francis, Keith, Mareena and Austin; sisters, Pam (Kevin) Vaughn, Nancy (Mark) White and Kathleen Taylor; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James (Dana) Fogal and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association or the Port Huron Figure Skating Club.
