Frank Percy Davenport Jr., 79, of Port Huron, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
He was born March 15, 1942 in Port Huron to the late Eva and Frank Davenport Sr. He married Mary McConkey on March 2, 1963 in Port Huron. She died May 19, 2015.
Frank served in the U.S. Army. He was a Correction Officer for St. Clair County for 24 years before his retirement. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, going to the shooting range, watching westerns & loved the Lord.
He is survived by three children, Frank (Lisa) Davenport III, Tim (Colleen) Davenport and Patty (Alan) Hartley; grandchildren, Frank Davenport IV, Heather Manns, Christopher Davenport, Jarrod Davenport and Hana Bahhur; great grandchildren, Summer, Halle, Ellah, Avery, Lelah and Ahlle; two sisters, Ida Bailey and Marge (Darwin) McLeod; several nieces and nephews; and close friend Carolyn Sheldon. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Patty Scheffler, Betty Davenport and Mary Kallio.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday February 28, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Griswold Street Baptist Church on Tuesday March 1, 2022 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Timothy North will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Frank Davenport IV, Chris Davenport, Jarrod Davenport, Jim Bailey, Greg Bailey and Randy Bailey. Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
