Ellen J Westrick

Ellen Jean Westrick, 71, of Marysville, died Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

She was born March 6, 1950 in Battle Creek to the late Clinton and Jean McClelland.

Ellen graduated from nursing school at St. Clair County Community College and was a Registered Nurse at Mercy Hospital for 30 years. She volunteered at a kid’s camp in Lakeport for many years. Ellen was a long-time member of Marysville United Methodist Church and was a happy, active choir member.

She is survived by her sister, Alice (Brad) Hool; brother, Wayne McClelland; nephews, Brandon Hool and Travis McClelland; nieces, Kylie Hool and Elizabeth McClelland; great-nephews, Oliver and Dorian; sister-in-law, Julie (Lloyd) Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Michael Westrick and Gary Westrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and brother, Phillip McClelland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2022 in Marysville United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate.

Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church or the Morquio Syndrome “MPS” Society in honor of her great-nephew.
