Judith Ethel Smith, 80, of Port Huron, formerly of Lexington, died Saturday, March 5, 2022.

She was born October 16, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Dorothy Smith.

Judith was a very giving person who knitted and crocheted thousands of hats for school aged children and the homeless. She also enjoyed making quilts. She was a devoted Catholic and Right to Life advocate who believed the only things you can take to heaven are the things you gave away on Earth.

She is survived by three children, Patrick (Therese) Schwartz, Anna (Mark) Ushman and Michael (Carolyn) Schwartz; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Helen) Smith and Jack Smith; sisters, Joyce Beaudry and Maureen (Robert) Baker; several nieces and nephews; and special friend , Carolyn Seifert “her angel on earth”. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doreen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Ave Maria Catholic Church, Lexington with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Reverend Donald Eppenbrock will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery, Lexington.
