John M Brown

John Marvin Brown, 77, of Fort Gratiot, died Friday, March 11, 2022.

He was born August 28, 1944 in Port Huron to the late John C. and Doris R. Brown. He married Shirley Ameel on June 27, 1964 in Port Huron.

John retired from Port Huron Hospital in 2011 after 41 years of service. He loved baseball and the Detroit Red Wings. John served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley; brother, Perry (Sandra) Brown; sisters, Carol (Cary) Hann and Marge Thomas (Bradley Willett); and brother-in-law, Theodore “Ted” Golubinski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Connie Golubinski, Janet Henderson and Alan Brown.

Graveside services for both John and Shirley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot Township. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
