Maureen Elizabeth “Moe” O’Boyle, 53, of Port Huron Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 23 2022 with loved ones by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born March 22, 1969 in Port Huron to Suzanne Gleason and the late John O’Boyle.

Maureen was a 1987 Port Huron Northern graduate. Afterwards she maintained a successful career of 22 years with Cargill Salt as a senior production coordinator.

Maureen enjoyed reading, golfing, horseshoes and playing pool. She had a true passion for music and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time and making memories with her friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Suzanne Gleason, whom she often referred to as her best friend; her daughter who she loved unconditionally, Meghan (Eddie) Green; sisters, Coleen Manley and Joleen (Marty) Zobl; brother, Dave; several nieces and nephews, whom she absolutely adored; many friends that she considered family; and of course, her loyal hound, Rubee.

She was preceded in death by her father, John J O’Boyle; and special friends, Carol Hanson and Faith Hunter.

Maureen had such a passion when it came to helping others. Throughout her life she was involved in countless benefits and charities. Her dedication to Senior Project Fresh contributed to serving more local senior citizens with food vouchers than any other organization in the state. Anyone that knew her was sure to know that they could count on her for anything. She wore many hats and was always so full of life and selfless love.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins of Holy Trinity Parish will officiate. A livestream of the service will be available on Maureen’s obituary page on the funeral home website.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the St. Clair County Council on Aging “Senior Project Fresh”.
