Ted M. “Mr. Stats” Wildermuth, 80, of Marysville, died Monday, March 28, 2022.
He was born April 1, 1941 in Lima, OH to the late Oliver and Margery Wildermuth. He married Joyce Hatton on November 27, 1965 in Lima, OH.
Ted was a 1959 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green University. He taught at Marysville Public Schools for 34 years, retiring in 1998. After his retirement he continued as sports statistician for Marysville Athletics until 2014, an impressive 50 years of service. He was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame as a statistician for football, basketball, volleyball and baseball. He was a long-time, active member of Marysville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce; two brothers, Michael (Sharon) Wildermuth of Lima, OH and Mel (Chris) Wildermuth of Des Moines, IA; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. He was recently preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Hanna Wildermuth.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue, on Ted’s 81st birthday.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Marysville United Methodist Church. The Reverend Curtis Clarke will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
