Rosemarie "Rosie" Sweet

Rosemarie “Rosie” Sweet, 85, of Kimball Township, went home to with our Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

She was born May 28, 1936 in Cass Lake, Minnesota to the late George and Annabelle Ristau. She married Melvin Sweet on June 26, 1954 in Port Huron. He died July 4, 2021.

Rosie was a registered nurse with Port Huron Hospital for many years prior to retirement and was a member of the Michigan Nurses Association. Rosie and Melvin enjoyed many winters at their home in Lakeland, Florida. She attended Blue Water Free Methodist Church and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving children, Diann (Thomas) Gorguze of Royal Oak, Rebecca Loshaw of Port Huron and Richard Sweet of Macomb; six grandchildren, Jennifer Loshaw, John (LeAnn) Loshaw Jr., Katrina, Zachary, Alexa and Tyler Sweet; three great grandchildren, Audrey and Avery Loshaw and Quinten Alderman; several nieces and nephews; and her Golden Girls, Naomi, Brooks, Nancy Mensinger and Delores Booth. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Ristau; sister, Margaret (Rodney) Thompson; and son-in-law, John Loshaw.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 11, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Randy Bennett will officiate

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township.
