Ronald M O'Connor

Ronald Michael O’Connor Sr., 67, of Port Huron, entered eternal life on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Ron was born February 3, 1955 in Port Huron to the late William E. and Violet B. O’Connor. He grew up in Port Huron and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church and School before graduating from Port Huron High School in 1973. He married Linda S. Collins on November 2, 1974.

Ron and Linda made their home in Port Huron and raised their family of three children. Over the years, Ron worked for Mueller Brass Company, Dunn Paper, and as an over-the-road truck driver. In retirement, he could be seen all over the Port Huron area mowing lawns, which he truly enjoyed. Ron loved camping and hiking, spending time with family and friends and spending time in his garage wrenching on cars, tinkering and scrapping. He and Linda enjoyed the time they spent in Zephyrhills, Florida with family and friends.

Ron is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda; three children, Kellie McCaskey, Ronald (Jennifer) O’Connor Jr., and Erin (Matt) Herpel; ten grandchildren, Austin (Mandy) McCaskey, Russell (Riley) McCaskey, Korben McCaskey, Evan, Brendan, Collin, and Mary Grace O’Connor, Drew, Emily, and Alyssa Herpel; brother, Matthew (Melisa) O’Connor; several in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, William Jr., Richard and Timothy O’Connor.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Trinity Lutheran Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Mark Madson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ronald O’Connor Jr., Matthew O’Connor, Matthew Herpel, Patrick Lynch, Henry Mello and Matthew Berish.
