Mary K Weatherspoon
Precious servant of God, Mary Kathleen Weatherspoon, 60, of Port Huron, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
She was born March 18, 1962 in Port Huron to Constance and the late William Lott. She married Wheatley Weatherspoon on March 14, 2001.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Port Huron who graduated from Port Huron Central High School in 1980. She was well known for her loving, nurturing personality. Mary was like a 2nd mom to many children, especially her nieces and nephews. She had a special love and affection for her two godsons, Javon Hollis and Treymall Lockett, and we can’t forget her bird, Fiesty.
Mary loved music, dancing and taking walks in the fresh air. She was also the best cook in the world, especially known for her fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. Mary loved going to church, reading the word of God and praying.
She was a fantastic wife, daughter, sister aunt, godmother, friend and woman. We will be forever grateful to God that she was a part of our lives.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Wheatley; mother, Constance Lott; sisters, Lisa Lott-Parker and Laura (Arthur) Lott-Lockett; five nephews, Charles, Jeremy, Zion, Arthur and Joymall; two nieces, Christal and Nyvia; two God grandchildren, Cardi’a and Vonii; two special godsisters, Alkynee Miller and Veronica Miller; and a host of great nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Lott; and her nephew, Ernest Emmanuel Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Kingdom Authority Ministries with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Nevar Massey will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Edwards, Joymall Lockett, Charles Edwards, Javon Hollis, Zion Edwards and Anthony Taylor.
