Michael J Green

Michael James Green, 76, of Wales Township, passed away on Tuesday, May, 3, 2022.

He was born April 29, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Othanile and Edith Green. He married Mary Geddes on October 21, 1989 in Utica, Michigan.

Mike worked for Chrysler Corporation for 40 years before retiring in 2002. He also served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid bowler, competing at the league level, and enjoyed the game for many years. Mike also enjoyed fishing and getting tattoos. He had many friends in the tattoo and bowling communities that will miss him dearly. Mike was a big-hearted man who would give you the shirt off his back and the last dollar in his pocket if you were in need. He will be so greatly missed by all his friends and family.

He was survived by his wife, Mary Green (Geddes); son, Michael Green II (Beth Green); grandchildren, Joshua Green, Jonathan Alexander and Synthia Alexander; brothers, Tim Green (Sue Les) and Charles Green; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, as well as many other family members and friends. He is also survived by his beloved cat “Baby Girl”, who was always by his side.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Green; mother, Edith Green (Smith); father, Othanile Green; sister-in-law, Baue Green; and sister, Cathy Green.

A memorial picnic will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1068 Cove Rd., Wales, MI 48027.

Michael’s family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
