David A Jamison
David Alex Jamison, 81, of Livonia, died Saturday, May 7, 2022.
He was born February 10, 1941 in Port Huron to the late Lee and Margaret Jamison. He married Jacqueline Reeves on June 24, 1961 in Port Huron.
David graduated from Port Huron High School in 1959 and Wayne State University in 1972. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. David was employed as an electrical engineer with Detroit Edison for 30 years until his retirement in 2000. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing and woodworking. David was a lifetime Presbyterian and proud Eagle Scout.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jacqueline; children, Michelle Jamison, Deborah Ruiz and Jeffrey Jamison; two grandchildren that he raised, Stephanie Schave and Jamie Ruiz; seven other grandchildren, Melissa Deichert, Ryan Deichert, Megan Koenig, Timothy Kane, Melissa Kane, Amanda Jamison and Raven Jamison; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Roy Jamison; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Jamison, and father and mother-in-law, Amos and Eileen Reeves.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Dr. Joseph Baunoch will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township. Pallbearers will be Jeff Jamison, Ryan Deichert, Stephanie Schave, Jamie Ruiz, Justin Schave and Ken Reeves. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
