Debra Lu Wells, 68, of Port Huron Township, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 20, 1953 in Port Huron to the late Richard T. and Mildred E. Wakeham. She married Billie E. Wells on June 9, 1973 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Port Huron.
Debra graduated from Port Huron Northern High School in 1971 and worked for AT&T prior to her retirement. She was an active member of Ross Bible Church where was involved with the children’s choir and Sunday School. Debbie was a very social person and enjoyed staying abreast of the happenings in city government. She was also an avid reader and liked camping. Most importantly, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Billie; a daughter, Amanda Wells-Hewitt (Jessica Hewitt); three grandchildren, Ireland, Maren and Kellan; a sister, Linda (Alva “Ted”) Oslin; a niece, nephew and several cousins.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Tim Clark will officiate.
Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.
