Michael F Wrubel
Michael F. Wrubel, 65, of Kimball Township, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 of a massive heart attack.
He was born January 12, 1957 in Port Huron to the late Eugene and Virginia Wrubel. He married Becky Cunningham on October 17, 1981 in Port Huron.
Michael was employed with Tyco, St. Clair County Animal Control, Marysville School District and most recently co-owned the Green Barn Winery with his wife. He was a volunteer fireman for the Kimball Township Fire Department for 21 years and was an EMT and Fire Instructor. He enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and spending time with family. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky; daughter, Amanda (Jake) Gregg; grandchildren, Adam and Henry Gregg; brothers, Kevin (Phyllis) Wrubel and Eugene (Lori) Wrubel; brother-in-law, Rich (Jeanne) Cunningham; aunts, Joanne Lewandowski and Rita Wrubel; uncle, Joe (Marlene) Wrubel; mother-in-law, Kathy Cunningham; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A funeral service with a Fireman’s Pass and Review will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Fire Chaplain Mike Alexander will officiate.
Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery, Kimball Township at a later date.
