Willia Mae Kane, 75, of Marysville, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, June 20, 2022.

She was born October 17, 1946 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to the late Herbert and Dorothy Martin. She married Richard John “Dick” Kane on June 5, 1964 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and moved to St. Clair. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2015 after 50 years of marriage.

Mrs. Kane worked as a Lunch Aide at Gearing Elementary School in St. Clair. She retired as a home healthcare aide, caring for many residents in St. Clair County. She was assistant den mother for a Boy Scout troop in St. Clair, assistant girls’ softball coach for St. Clair Little League and volunteered with the Jerry Lewis Telethon raising money for muscular dystrophy research. She was very involved with her grandchildren and was an avid gardener and lover of all animals.

She is survived by her son, Richard Lee Kane (Kevin Lalonde) of Marysville; a daughter, Paula (Steve) Hatch of West Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Courtney Churchill, Cory Lee Churchill, Shaun (Liane) Hatch and Paige Hatch; great grandson, Brady Hatch; sister, Judy (Larry) Singleton; brother, Allen (Brenda) Martin; in-laws, Jackie Ingles, Paul Kane, Ken (Cindy) Kane, Liana (Tom) Haeck, Kathy Kretschmann, Steve Livingston (Linda), Betsy (Chuck) Francek, Judy Kane, John Paul Kane and Harry Kane; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Dorothy Martin, nephew, Shawn Singleton; and many beloved in-laws.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home with a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m. The visitation scheduled from 2-4 p.m. has been cancelled.

The Funeral Mass scheduled for 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church has been cancelled.

The Rite of Committal will be at 12 noon, Saturday, June 25, 2022 in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Martin, Cory Lee Churchill, Steve Hatch, Kevin Geltz, Jim Perini and John Schneider.
