Gregory Charles Lachon, 71, of Marysville, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

He was born November 7, 1950 in Port Huron to the late Anthony and Pauline Lachon. He married Janet M. Westrick on April 25, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Gregory graduated from Port Huron Northern in 1968 and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam as an air traffic controller. After returning from the service, Greg was employed as a draftsman and plat examiner with St. Clair County for 29 years. After retirement, Greg and Janet co-owned Maritime Title Agency. Greg loved spending time at the cabin up north where he was the proud captain of his pontoon boat, Title Wave on beautiful Lake Ogemaw. He was a lifelong NASCAR fan, an avid golfer and member of Willow Ridge Golf Club, and a particular caretaker of his lawn. Greg loved all things Christmas, and especially enjoyed hosting Christmas Eve with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janet; two sisters, Barbara Kilbourne and Nancy Ventenielli; brothers-in-law, Al Cuglietta and Herb Westrick; sisters-in-law, Susan Lachon and Carolyn (David) Riedel; nieces and nephews, Jodi (Stephen) Smith, Anthony Ventenielli, Katrina Ventenielli, Emelio (Diane) Ventenielli, Michael Cuglietta, Lisa Richardson, Jill (John) Stockwell, Steven Westrick and Cindy Westrick; daughter, Andrea Harmon; grandchildren, Jenna and Olivia Harmon; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Cuglietta; brother, Anthony “Gary” Lachon; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Dusablon and Emelio “Ernie” Ventenielli.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 in the Marysville Funeral Home followed by a Scripture Service at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Timothy Maxwell will officiate.

Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Port Huron with Military Honors under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Newsboys, St. Clair County Child Abuse & Neglect Council, or the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
