Joseph C Kilyk

Joseph Calvin Kilyk, 68, of Greenwood, Delaware, formerly of Port Huron, Michigan, died in his home surrounded by his immediate family on Friday, August 26, 2022. He was diagnosed December 2021 of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

Joseph had become a Master Plumber for 25 years but decided on a career change and worked as a Hearing Instrument Specialist upon retiring in 2019.

Joseph had a passion for God, his family and the family of God and pursued his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral ministry. His heart was for people to find a sense of purpose, identity, and belong to a safe place of community where he pioneered a home congregation.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of 47 years, and their two sons, Jason (Katy) Kilyk and Jeremy (Angie) Kilyk; six grandchildren whom he adored, Eave (Preston) Fleury, Brandon, Juli, Elizabeth, Isaiah and Abriella Kilyk; four siblings, Gerard (Karen) Kilyk, Beth June, Barbara (Mike) Thompson and Mary (Warren) Farrington. He was preceded in death his mother, Eva Heinzerling and father, Joseph M Kilyk.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Harvest Christian Church, 6385 King Rd., Marine City.
