Lawrence E Paling

Lawrence Edward Paling, 86, of Kimball, died Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

He was born August 27, 1936 in Carsonville, Michigan to the late Alfred and Elsie Paling. He married Shirley McAllister on September 21, 1963 in Croswell. She preceded him in death on December 13, 2006.

Lawrence served in the United States Army. He was very active at the Marysville RLDS Church serving as a Deacon and a custodian. He was a retired machinist, having worked at Anker Holth, Vogal Industries and Bridgewater. He enjoyed dining at the Four Star Restaurant and loved taking his friend’s dog for a walk along the boardwalk in Marysville. Lawrence was a very good caregiver to his daughter Brenda.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery Paling and daughter, Brenda Paling; sister, Betty (Jerry) Patrick; brothers, John (Joan) Paling and David (Linda) Paling; and good friend Elaine Bedell.

A memorial service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, October 8, 2022 in Marysville RLDS Church with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Elder Gary Wesch will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
