Richard G Doran Jr.

Richard Gordon Doran Jr., 72, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

He was born October 28, 1949 in Mount Clemens to the late Richard and Lenora Doran.

Richard served in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was employed at Textron for many years. He was an artist and enjoyed golfing, coaching Little League baseball and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; three children, Richard G. Doran III, Tammy (Daniel) Hensley and Travis (Amanda) Strauchman; six grandchildren, Angela Hensley, Danielle Hensley, Emma Strauchman, Baylee Strauchman, Abby Doran and Hannah Doran; two brothers, Chris (Cheryl) Doran and John Doran; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Larson and Debbie Hart.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in Sparlingville Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Abe Braun will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Inurnment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
