Hisayo Blake

Hisayo Blake, 94, of Kimball, died Monday, October 3, 2022.

She was born March 11, 1928 in Saitama Ken, Japan.

Hisayo was a teacher in Japan prior to immigrating to the United States seventy years ago. Three years after arriving here, she became a U.S. citizen. She was head seamstress at George Innes Menswear and later at Brown’s Menswear.

She is survived by her three children; Ken (Angela) Shoff, Jetty (Derrick) Williams, and Mary (Ron) Wagner; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great grand-children; two siblings in Japan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John.

Private services will be held Tuesday October 11, 2022 at Burtchville Cemetery. The Reverend Joseph DeHass will officiate.
