Ross G Jackson

Ross Gerald Jackson, 87, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

He was born June 6, 1935 in Jeddo to the late Russell and Frieda Jackson, He married June Lambert on September 27, 1958 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Mr. Jackson was employed with Morton Salt Company for 38 years. He enjoyed cutting his grass, watching sports and coached Babe Ruth baseball for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, June; son, Charles (Janie) Jackson; granddaughter, Theresa (David) Terry; five great grandchildren, Lilith, Damein, Zena, Madison and Georgia Terry; two brothers, Russell (Annette) Jackson and Howard Jackson; two sisters, Thelma (Ken) Moldrem and Marilyn Barnhouse; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Jackson; two sisters, Florence (John) Meyers and Kathy (Don) Dancey; and in-laws, Nancy Jackson and Pete Barnhouse.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Northgate Bible Church with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Paul Slivka will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Burial will be with his son in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
