Neuton Carvalho Torres, 87, of Marysville, died Thursday, October 27, 2022.
He was born January 19, 1935 in Brumado Bahia, Brazil to the late Waldemar Silva Torres and Placidia Carvalho Torres.
Neuton was a professor at UEFS for over 30 years where he also coached basketball. He was beloved by his colleagues, students and family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Acilegna; daughter, Luana (Mike) Garvin; two grandsons, Connor and Lucas Garvin; three sisters, Maria, Valsuc, Ruth; and brother, Waldemar Jr.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m Thursday November 3, 2022 in St. Christopher Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
