Leslie L Luther

Leslie Lawrence Luther Jr., 77, of Fort Gratiot, died Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

He was born December 16, 1944 in Detroit to the late Lucia and Leslie Luther Sr. He married Brenda VanCamp on May 14, 1977 in Jeddo.

Leslie served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a control operator for the City of Detroit Water Department for many years before his retirement. He was a longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. He was involved in the Master Gardner program and in 2013 received his associate’s degree in Horticulture from SC4. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and working in the yard.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Brenda; two daughters, Danielle (Ian) Campbell and Crystal (Mark) Sadler; two siblings, Lynne Jarvis and Albert (Lauren) Luther; three sisters-in-law, Carol Ramage, Nancy VanCamp and Janeann Carter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 in St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.. The Reverend Lee Acervo will officiate.

Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Ramage, Troy VanCamp, Connor Dann, Tim Janiszewski and Jason, Nick, Tony and Joe Jarvis. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Edward on the Lake Catholic Church, Jeddo United Methodist Church or the Kautz Shore Lanes Youth Bowling League.
