Allen Samson

Allen Wayne Samson Sr., 63, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Al was born October 20, 1959 in Port Huron. He was a devoted employee of Pregis Foam for many years, working as a certified forklift driver. He enjoyed cruising the back roads, feeding the seagulls at the boardwalk, and spending time at his property up north in Curran. He loved cooking and was known for his award-winning “Al’s Chili” and ham and bean soup recipes. More than anything else, Al loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (Bryan) Gerstenberger; a son, Allen W. Samson Jr., and his son’s mother, Debbie Morris-Samson; three grandchildren, Jayla, Jordan and Jenna Gerstenberger; eight sisters, Jane Harvill, Donna Landschoot, Debbie Samson, Patty (Bob) Dingman, Michelle (Bob) Palazzolo, Gloria (John) Palazzola, Kelly Juliano, and Amy (Josh) Seney; two brothers, Fred (Ginger) Hall and Dwayne “Ed” (Theresa) Samson; two sisters-in-law, Judy Samson and Karen O’Connor; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his wonderful work family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty (John) O’Connor; father, John (Kay) Samson; sister, Sandra Clark; brothers, William “Bill” Samson, John O’Connor, and John Samson Jr.; and brother-in-law, Steve Landschoot.

Memorial visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. Reverend Marilyn Moncrief will officiate.
