Richard I Albert Sr.

Richard Isaac Albert Sr., 84, of Marysville, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

He was born July 6, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Alexander and Edna Albert. He married Donna J. Bartley July 7, 1956 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on September 5, 2017 after 61 years of marriage.

Richard was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad and later at DTE until his retirement. He was a member of the Blue Water Sportsman’s Association, Moose Lodge #158 and the NRA. He enjoyed working around the house, hunting, fishing, working on cars, going to car shows and watching westerns on TV.

He is survived by four children; Richard (Debra) Albert Jr., Catherine Myron, Jeffery Albert and LaDonna (Dennis) Fox; nine grandchildren, Jeramie Albert, Monica (John) Russo, Zachary (Katy) Fox, Hayley Myron (Rob White), Darren Myron and Shannon Myron; three great grandchildren, Luca, Anna and Nora; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Isabelle. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Stephen Myron; a sister; and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022 in Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend William Wright will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
