Gregory J Carmody

Gregory John Carmody, 70, of Port Huron, died Sunday, November 13, 2022.

He was born May 3, 1952 in Port Huron to the late John and Marilyn Carmody. He married Janet M. Selden on October 16, 1971 in Port Huron.

Greg was employed at Sears for over 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed camping and despite constant razzing, he never gave up hope for the Detroit Lions. Greg’s family will remember him for his devotion to Country, the military and the patriotic prayers he gave before Thanksgiving dinner.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet; two sons, Todd and Ben Carmody; three grandsons, Connor, Trevor and Brendan; four siblings, Carolynn (Gary) Bugaiski, Merrilynn (Bryan) Fleishmann, Chris Carmody and Kamlynn (William) Myers; sister-in-law, Barbara (Tim) Lynch; brother-in-law, James Klumpp; and many much-loved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Martha Klumpp; and in-laws, Robert and Jean Selden.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Charles Hammond American Legion Post #8.
